The current number of animals on the estate is 165 (Table 1). Between 1 March 2021 and 1 June 2021, the Estate had 17 new babies born with the larger part of the baby season already over. A total of 6 animals died due to other various reasons (Table 1).  Deaths were caused by suspected hits and runs, animals getting stuck in palisade fences at houses and/ or fish ponds, natural territorial fights between males, competition removal by the new lead male in herds to produce their offspring and some natural deaths like age. Any animal that is injured is treated and any animal that has to be euthanized is done so humanely. Some carcasses were found which we were unable to speculate the cause of death due to the extent of decomposition.
