The current number of animals on the estate is  (Table 1). At the end of 2021, the total number of animals on the estate was 274. A total of 96 babies were born and 32 mortalities occurred during the year (Table 1). Deaths were caused by the suspected hit and runs, animals getting stuck in palisade fences at houses and/ or fish ponds, natural territorial fights between males, competition removal by a new lead male in herds to produce their offspring, and some natural deaths like age and some of the unfortunate deaths due to fires. Any animal that is injured is treated and any animal that has to be euthanized is done so humanely. There was some carcass found which we were unable to speculate the cause of death due to the extent of decomposition.
