Bird walk
The early bird gets the worm but the early risers get to see the bird with his worm. Come and join us on the 4th of June 2022 at 7:30 for a Bird Walk. With summer at its end, all the migratory species will shortly start their journeys to warmer countries for the winter period. Old nests tell a story of a summer full of chicks and the most colourful summer plumage is slowly being with boring winter plumage. The changes seen by the birds are a sure sign that summer is slowing down as we head toward autumn and winter.
The walk will be guided by Kevin Lavery who does birding at various places to assist with various projects which include the bird atlas project2, Environmental impact assessments for various developments, and also does guide walks at Various nature reserves.
As Kevin is involved in various other projects, bookings are essential with a minimum of 4 people required to host a bird walk. Any changes to dates, times, and meeting points due to weather changes and other unforeseen circumstances will be provided to those who confirmed booking for the walk. Any other changes will be provided well in advance via a notification on the LED boards, email, and/or SMS where possible.
