The early bird gets the worm but the early risers get to see the bird with his worm.
With summer on the way, the sun is rising earlier and the chill in the morning is less. The migratory species are also returning, nests are being built and winter plumage is replaced with colorful summer plumage. New species are seen from time to time, like the brown backed honey birds and the red billed oxpeckers.
Please don’t forget to join us for our monthly Bird walks which take place on one Saturday morning every month. All walks are guided by Kevin Lavery which does birding at various places to assist with various projects which include the bird atlas project2, Environmental impact assessments for various developments and also does guided walks at Various nature reserves.
Bookings are essential with a minimum of 4 people required to host a bird walk. As Kevin is involved in various other projects, dates will be given as provided to the estate. The dates, times and meeting place will be provided in notification on the LED boards, email and/or SMS.
